Conference Summary
On behalf of The Friends of Yaquina Lighthouses, Yaquina Bay State Recreation Site and Oregon Parks and Recreation Department's Volunteer Services, thank you for attending the 2011 Cooperative Association Conference. The conference boasted 104 conference participants over the three day event with 26 individuals attending the conference for the first time.
A team of 21 speakers from various professional venues carried out the educational mission of the conference. Detailed information about our presentation team can be found on the Speakers page of this conference site.
Friends of Yaquina Lighthouses and OPRD staff provided guided tours of the Historic Yaquina Bay Lighthouse. Tours were followed by a Welcome Reception where staff, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors and presenters were able to network and plan for their conference experience.
The 2010-2011 L.L. "Stub" Stewart Volunteer Awards banquet was held in partnership with the Oregon Coast Aquarium on Saturday, October 8th. Conference participants, family, and friends celebrated 12 Award nominees across four nomination categories. See he Volunteer Awards page for a list of nominees and recipients.
