| Proposed Buckman Historic District Nomination Withdrawal |

The Buckman Historic Association has formally withdrawn the National Register nomination for the North Central Buckman Historic District from consideration. Instead, the Association requested that the Oregon SHPO evaluate the completeness of the document and issue an official opinion on the eligibility of the district for listing in the Register. This opinion is not a "designation," and will not trigger regulation by local, state, or federal authorities or enable residents of the area to participate in state or federal incentive programs. The nomination and related materials will be kept on permanent file at the Oregon SHPO in Salem.
