Land and Water Conservation Fund: When to Apply
2011 Schedule

Oregon was notified in July, 2011 about the federal fiscal year 2011 Land & Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) apportionment.  After all the calculations are done, grant funds available for local communities will total $132,799.  This amount would be sufficient to award one or two small-scale projects.  Such a small opportunity would not justify staff, review committee, and applicant efforts.  Therefore, funds from this year’s apportionment will be combined with the funds that become available with fiscal year 2012.  By combining two apportionment cycles into one, we will provide a more robust opportunity to fund needed park projects in local communities.

The federal government may not decide on the final apportionments for federal fiscal year 2012 until later in the spring or summer of 2012.  Please check back for the posting of the time schedules then.
