Collier Memorial State Park & Jackson F. Kimball State Recreation Site
Paving Projects
Jackson Kimball roadway surface before the repairs.
New surface.
The roadway conditions at both parks were in serious disrepair, including severe surface and structural failures. The roadways showed cracking, rutting, potholes, asphalt delimitation, heaving from tree roots and base failure conditions.
The work repaired the base failures and removed the old surface. Pre-leveling and a thickened asphalt overlay completed the project. The new roadway should last 50 years with minimal periodic maintenance.
