Visitor Center Upgrade
An upgrade to the Champoeg Visitor Center gave the building a new look and improved the environmental controls.
The improvements included replacing a bay window on the north side of the building with a new large window that appears to be original to the building. New heat pumps with air conditioning were installed, as well as new air flow ductwork. A new propane tank pad and fuel lines were installed for the new backup propane furnaces. New carpet was added to the exhibit area.
The bike path near the visitor center was repaved.
